The Congress workers on Thursday staged a dharna at Ariyankuppam and near the Education Department seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on NEET question paper leak issue. Later addressing a press conference, former Chief Minister and Congress leader V. Narayanasamy said when UPA was in power, social activist Anna Hazare had launched an agitation against the Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party was behind the Anna Hazare movement. However, the then UPA government held talks with the protesters.But the present government at the Centre was not serious in holding talks with students and punishing culprits involved in the paper leak. The Union Ministers have come out with statements expressing willingness to debate the issue in both houses. All those involved in the NEET paper leak have been arrested. The Congress was not interested in a discussion on the subject but only wanted to play politics on the issue. The students were being misled to gain political mileage, he said.
