(NASDAQ:CMCSA) stock fell on Thursday after the cable and media company reported second-quarter results that topped Wall Street expectations but showed continued weakness in its broadband and video businesses.
Earnings Top Estimates Despite Broadband Pressure The Philadelphia-based company reported revenue of $29.94 billion, down 1.2% from a year earlier but above the analyst consensus estimate of $29.30 billion, according to Benzinga Pro.
Adjusted earnings came in at $1.04 per share, beating estimates of 97 cents.
Comcast continued to face pressure from cord-cutting and growing competition from lower-cost 5G home internet services.
