Two students from Shiv Nadar School, Noida, have won the RoboCupJunior Rescue Line – SuperTeam Challenge at RoboCup 2026, an international robotics championship held in Incheon, South Korea. As the only Indian team in their category, Team System Override, comprising Class XI students Ayaan Suri and Tanash Garg, secured the first position after competing against 27 international teams from countries including Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, the United States, Singapore, and Brazil. The RoboCup 2026 International Championship brought together over 300 teams from more than 45 countries, with over 3,000 participants competing across multiple robotics categories.The RoboCupJunior Rescue Line category challenged students to build autonomous robots capable of navigating simulated disaster environments, avoiding obstacles, identifying victims, and completing rescue operations without human intervention. Team System Override’s robot combined computer vision with Time-of-Flight sensors and a gyroscope to detect the rescue path, navigate obstacles, adjust to changing terrain, and make real-time decisions throughout the course.Ayaan Suri, Team Lead, Team System Override, Shiv Nadar School, said: “This victory reflects years of learning, experimentation, and teamwork.
