Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU), Nagapattinam, is conducting undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2026–27 through counselling for various degree programmes offered by its 10 constituent colleges and one affiliated private college.A total of 447 seats will be filled through counselling.These include 187 seats in B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science); 50 seats in B.Tech. Fisheries Engineering, 43 seats in B.Tech. Fisheries Biotechnology, and 42 seats in B.Tech. Food Technology; 21 seats in B.B.A. (Fisheries Entreprises Management); and 78 seats in B.Voc. programmes. In addition, 24 seats in Fisheries Science and two seats in Fisheries Engineering are reserved for candidates from fishermen families.A total of 15,585 applications were received, comprising 9,265 (59%) female candidates and 6,320 (41%) male candidates. Programme-wise, 4,904 applications were received for Fisheries Science, 1,813 for Fisheries Engineering, 1,890 for Fisheries Biotechnology, 1,796 for Food Technology, 1,370 for B.B.A., and 3,822 for B.Voc. Programmes.In-person counselling for admissions under the special categories and supernumerary seats will be conducted first, followed by general counselling, which is scheduled to be held during the first week of August 2026 at the TNJFU campus in Nagapattinam.Rank listThe rank list was released by TNJFU vice-chancellor N. Felix on Thursday. In the overall merit list, S. Anishkumar, G. Sethurajan and T. Priyavadhana have secured the highest score of 199.50 marks out of 200, followed by V. J.
