01:36Former soldier’s attack on federal building in New York City shown in newly-released surveillance footageSurveillance footage shows a man lighting fireworks and starting a blaze at a New York federal building.Andrew Arrabaca, 43, a former US soldier, has been charged with arson following the incident on Monday (20 July), which the FBI said was motivated by his “anti-Government and anti-ICE beliefs”.Footage shows Arrabaca standing outside 26 Federal Plaza, where the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and US Citizenship and Immigration Services have offices.He appears to set a bag on the ground, before using a barbecue lighter to ignite several fireworks, which start shooting towards the building. Arrabaca then pulls out a pellet gun and starts shooting down the street, as passers-by flee.The 43-year-old also starts a blaze by the steps after appearing to pour some liquid on nearby grass. He was then subdued by officials.Three people sustained minor injuries during Monday’s attack. On Tuesday (21 July), Arrabaca was held without bail.Up next
