Youth and student organisations held a rally in Belagavi on Wednesday, in support of the students protesting in New Delhi against the alleged irregularities in NEET examination.The protestors gathered at the Kittur Channamma Circle and held a rasta roko for some time. Then they walked from the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, shouting slogans against the Union government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.They submitted a memorandum to the government through the Deputy Commissioner’s office.They sought the resignation of Mr. Pradhan and demanded action against officers responsible for the lathi-charge on the protestors at Jantar Mantar. They demanded justice for students who had suffered due to the paper leaks, action against those responsible and compensation for the families of students who had ended their lives.
