President Donald Trump tried to mock Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) at a speech in Marietta, Ga., on Wednesday, but it didn’t land the way he likely intended.“He reminds me of Pinky Herman,” Trump said, as the crowd laughed. “Did you ever see Pinky Herman?” Trump almost certainly meant Pee-wee Herman, the TV and movie character portrayed by the late Paul Reubens. The president corrected himself about 15 minutes later and got the name right that time. Trump also posted a meme last month comparing Ossoff to Pee-wee. Yet somehow, he still managed to get the name wrong twice during the speech ― and his critics on social media couldn’t get over it: "Pinky Herman?" Who the fuck is that? Trump botched Pee-wee Herman's name, then strutted around like he beat Jon Ossoff. Ossoff won his Senate seat. Trump lost another fight with the English language. https://t.co/CZCilSMKq9— Khary Penebaker (@kharyp) July 22, 2026Ah yes, the legendary Pinky Herman. He was very good friends with Daffy Mouse, Bugs Duck, and Yogi Flintstone. If Donald Trump wants to insult someone, he should at least get the name right! Also, that insult will fall flat. Jon Ossoff is nothing like him. pic.twitter.com/YmtLUEg13G— Russell Drew (@RussOnPolitics) July 22, 2026next appearance: "Ossoff reminds me of PEE-WEE Herman. a lot of people don't know that's his real name. the fake news won't tell you that. they call him Pinky." https://t.co/j6Oow597Fu— Gracie MacNcheese (@AtwinGracie2002) July 22, 2026He means Pee Wee Herman.Imagine if Biden said this…After all the mistakes djt has made in the past year and a half it’s actually not a joke anymore. It hasn’t been funny for quite some time. @jaketapper what’s up, dude? https://t.co/GrlrGOxZqu— 🏖🐚 Mama 🌊 J 📚 Reads 👓 Banned 🚫 Books📖📘📗 (@Clashophile) July 22, 2026
