SEG Automotive and Easelink have formed a partnership to drive the industrialisation and market introduction of Matrix Charging. Easelink’s solution enables automated charging of EVs without the need to manually plug in a charging cable.
As part of the partnership, the two companies plan to collaborate on initial OEM series projects. SEG Automotive is also preparing to integrate Matrix Charging technology into its product portfolio. Under a technology licence, SEG Automotive will future offer OEMs tailored solutions using this technology.
In parallel, SEG Automotive will join the Matrix Charging Interest Group (MCIG). As previously reported, the MCIG aims to advance the standardisation of the technology and unites companies across the entire value chain of automated charging.
SEG Automotive is an international automotive supplier that emerged in 2018 from Bosch’s starter and generator division and is now part of the Chinese ZMJ Group. Headquartered in Stuttgart, the company specialises in drive and electrification components. Easelink, the developer of the automated conductive charging solution Matrix Charging, is based in Graz, Austria.
