Office dress codes have relaxed since the pandemic, but for women in leadership positions, this has ignited a workwear crisis. “Especially after COVID, there was this idea that it’s not politically correct to tell people what to wear anymore. But that just made a lot of people, especially women, very confused,” says Alison Bruhn, co-founder of the Style That Binds Us, which offers “image consulting” — advice on clothes, hair, makeup, and more — for women executive at companies like Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Blackstone.
