This group showcase is more than a visual excellence; it is a fundraising initiative organised under the patronage of the Rotary Club of Cochin Pioneers. The show, which opens at Durbar Hall Art Gallery, is being held in association with Federal Bank.The curatorial note states that each canvas and sculpture in this collection represents a gesture of solidarity. The participating artists address the need to secure housing for the underprivileged. In this context, the gallery ceases to be a passive space and becomes a site of active transformation.“In the cultural landscape of Kerala, a home is more than a structure; it is a thara (foundation) for dignity and a padi (threshold) for the future. The works presented here — diverse in media and visual language — are united by a singular objective: to transform artistic value into the bricks and mortar of social change. By making these original works available for acquisition, the artists and the Rotary Club invite the public to participate in a direct act of community building. The participating artists include Aji Adoor, Anto George, Martin OC, Prakasan KS, Radha Gomaty, Sabita Kadannappally, and Sara Hussain. The show, curated by Deepa Gopal and Jiss Victor, is on from 11am to 7pm, July25-28.
