Mumbai: Jewellery retailer D P Abhushan on Monday reported 77 per cent growth in profit after tax at Rs 64.45 crore in the June quarter compared to the year-ago period. The company had posted a PAT of Rs 36.42 crore in Q1 FY26, D P Abhushan said in a statement. Total income for the quarter under review rose 58 per cent to Rs 853.63 crore from Rs 541.32 crore in the June quarter of the financial year ended March 31, 2026, the company said. "Despite volatility in gold and silver prices and temporary consumer hesitation following recent policy announcements, demand particularly for wedding jewellery remained resilient and business momentum gradually normalised," said Santosh Kataria, Managing Director. "Supported by disciplined inventory management, operational efficiency and a strong understanding of customer preferences, we were able to proactively mitigate margin pressures. We remain confident in our long-term growth trajectory, underpinned by the deep trust and loyalty our brand continues to enjoy across its target markets," he added. The company said during the quarter it finalized locations for its upcoming showrooms in Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) and Dahod (the first in Gujarat), adding that the store development activities are underway and operations expected to commence shortly.
