An Nvidia AI supercomputer has gone live at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California.
The DGX GB300 system will be available to the more than 1,500 in-resident students and 600 faculty at the institute and will support applications across weather prediction, cybersecurity, and disaster resilience and response planning.

Each DGX GB300 system features 72 Nvidia ConnectX-8 SuperNICs, delivering networking speeds of up to 800Gbps, double the performance of the previous generation. Eighteen Nvidia BlueField-3 DPUs combine with Nvidia Quantum-X800 InfiniBand or Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet.
In addition to the Nvidia hardware, the AI supercomputer is also comprised of high-performance data infrastructure from DDN; a unified data platform from Vast Data; and racks, cooling, and power infrastructure provided by Vertiv.
