Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has approved a national programme to modernise the UAE's statistics and data systems.
The overhaul will reconstruct GDP data from 2010 to 2026, establishing 2024 as the new base year for measurement.
Tax and administrative data will be integrated to better capture growth in non-oil, digital and service sectors, aligning with UN standards.
Key national entities, including the Central Bank, Ministry of Finance and Federal Tax Authority, will collaborate to deliver the initiative.
