Microcap textile company Aastha Spintex on Thursday announced a bonus stock issue in the ratio of 1:1 and a final dividend of Re 0.10 per share for FY26, rewarding its shareholders soon after its market debut earlier this month. The company in an exchange filing said that its board of directors during its meeting today approved the plan to issue one new share with a face value of Rs 10 each for every share held as on the record date.
The bonus shares will be issued by using the company’s reserve and surplus. The dividend of Re 0.10 per share meanwhile will be paid out of the profits of Aastha Spintex for the financial year which ended on March 31, 2026.
Both the bonus issue and dividend are subject to shareholders’ approval.A bonus issue consists of free shares distributed by a company and is often seen as a sign of strong financial health and growth prospects.
While the issue of bonus shares increases the total number of outstanding shares, it does not change the company’s market capitalisation.
However, it can improve liquidity and affordability, allowing more investors to add shares of the company to their portfolio. The record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders set to receive the bonus shares as well as dividend will be announced later.Aastha Spintex expansionAastha Spintex also said that its board of directors have approved the plan to move up the textile value chain, from yarn to fabric. “For over a decade, Aastha has built a reputation as a reliable cotton yarn manufacturer.
