Apple is reportedly bringing a major change for customers who purchase iPhones through financing plans. Some recent leaks and reports suggest that in the latest iOS 27, the company is testing a feature called Restricted Mode. Besides this, there will be a Partner Finance Lock that will be handled via Apple’s system for financed phones. This will significantly limit access to a financed iPhone if the owner misses a payment on time. Though the feature has not been officially announced by Apple yet, the references found in the beta software indicate the same. If introduced, this would mean restrictions on usage till the overdue payments are cleared. The feature still remains under development as per the reports and will not be available to the public until the release of iOS 27. It offers an early look at how Apple could handle financed devices in the future.About The AuthorAarohy Kapoor is a dynamic content producer and editor, known for creating high-impact, consumer-first content across diverse categories including technology, home decor, health & fitness, food, pet care, sports and everyday lifestyle essentials.
