Ten migrant workers sustained serious burn injuries after a suspected LPG cylinder explosion ripped through a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Bommasandra on the outskirts of Bengaluru early on Thursday (July 23, 2026) morning.The incident occurred at around 6.30 a.m. at Jai Sai Comforts, a PG accommodation located within the limits of Hebbagodi Police Station. The building is owned by Nagaraj Reddy and had reportedly been leased to another person.According to police, nine workers employed at M Engineering Company were staying in a room on the second floor of the PG. The explosion is suspected to have occurred due to an LPG gas leak when the occupants were preparing breakfast.
Hebbagodi police inspected the scene at Jai Sai Comforts PG and have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
