As of July 22, vessels have temporarily stopped calling at Ukrainian seaports due to the security situation, but the government is working on measures to ensure stable exports.
That is according to Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Yesterday [on July 21], four or five vessels were still calling at the ports. As of today [July 22], vessel calls have been suspended. The state has not imposed any restrictions on our side; this is a decision made by the shipowners," Vysotskyi said.
According to him, the stable operation of the maritime corridor is a matter of national security, so the government is working on solutions that could help resume shipping, although the minister did not comment on the details for now.
"First, we need to consolidate all the proposals, after which the decisions will be communicated further," he added.
