The 2026 Commonwealth Games get underway in Glasgow on Thursday, July 23, bringing together athletes from across the Commonwealth for an 11-day sporting spectacle that runs until August 2. Olympic medallists Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain will spearhead India's campaign. The 23rd edition of the Games will feature 10 sports—nine fewer than the Birmingham 2022 edition—along with six para sports. Competitions will be held across four venues within an eight-mile corridor: Scotstoun Stadium, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow International Arena and Tollcross International Swimming Centre. The sports on the programme include athletics and para-athletics, swimming and para-swimming, 3x3 basketball and wheelchair 3x3 basketball, track cycling and para-track cycling, weightlifting and para-powerlifting, bowls and para-bowls, artistic gymnastics, netball, boxing and judo. India has fielded a 125-member contingent, including para-athletes, after winning 61 medals at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022. The Indian athletics team is expected to be one of the biggest attractions, led by Tokyo Olympic gold medallist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion Neeraj Chopra. The squad also features national record holders and international medallists, including Gurindervir Singh, Animesh Kujur and Murali Sreeshankar. India's campaign begins on Thursday with lawn bowls, a sport in which the country won one gold and one silver medal at the Birmingham Games. Australia topped the medal standings at Birmingham 2022 with 179 medals, including 67 golds, followed closely by England with 176 medals. Scotland finished with 51 medals, including 13 golds. Australia, England, Scotland, Canada, India and New Zealand are once again expected to be among the leading contenders at Glasgow 2026.Read more: Commonwealth Games 2026 India Schedule IST PDF: Download full day-wise date, time, fixtures & match list of Indian players2026 Commonwealth Games: Full list of Indian participants AthleticsNeeraj Chopra – Javelin ThrowTejaswin Shankar – Decathlon, High JumpGurindervir Singh – 100mAnimesh Kujur – 200mParul Chaudhary – 3000m Steeplechase, 5000mMurali Sreeshankar – Long JumpPooja Singh – High JumpManpreet Kaur – Shot PutSeema Kaliramna – Discus ThrowNidhi Rani – Discus ThrowSarvesh Kushare – High JumpPraveen Chithravel – Triple JumpSelva Prabhu – Triple JumpLokesh Satyanathan – Long JumpRavina – Race WalkPriyanka Goswami – Race WalkRashdeep Kaur – 400mNeeru Pathak – 400mAnsa Babu – 400mTejas Shirse – 110m HurdlesYashas Palaksha – 400m HurdlesSanthosh T – 400m HurdlesDev Meena – Pole VaultKuldeep Kumar – Pole VaultRohit Yadav – Javelin ThrowYashvir Singh – Javelin ThrowVishal TK – 400mRajesh Ramesh – 400mTajinderpal Singh Toor – Shot PutSamardeep Singh Gill – Shot PutAadarsh Ram – High JumpBoxingSakshi Chaudhary – 51kgJaismine Lamboria – 57kgPreeti Pawar – 54kgPriya Ghanghas – 60kgParveen Hooda – 65kgArundhati Chaudhary – 70kgLovlina Borgohain – 75kgJadumani Singh – 55kgSachin Siwach – 60kgAditya Pratap Singh – 65kgSumit Kundu – 70kgAnkush – 80kgKapil Pokhriya – 90kgNarender Berwal – +90kgWeightliftingMirabai ChanuGyaneshwari DeviBindiyarani DeviHarjinder KaurSanjanaMartina DeviRishikanta SinghM RajaAjaya BabuDilbag SinghLovepreet SinghTrack CyclingRonaldo SinghDavid BeckhamRojit SinghDinesh KumarJemesh SinghHarshveer SekhonSwimmingAneesh GowdaSajan PrakashSrihari NatarajAryan NehraDharshan ShashikumarJudoShharadha Chopade – 52kgAsmita Dey – 48kgTulika Maan – +78kgInunganbi – 70kgIshroop Narang – 78kgYamini Mourya – 57kgUnnati Sharma – 63kgAvtar Singh – +100kgYash Ghanghas – 100kgArun Kumar – 73kgKaranjit Singh Maan – 90kgRohit – 66kgHarsh Tokas – 81kgHarsh Singh – 60kgLawn BowlsPinkiNayanmoni SaikiaRupa Rani TirkeyDinesh KumarNavneet SinghPutul SonowalArtistic GymnasticsPranati NayakNishika AgarwalEshita RewaleProtistha SamantaTapan MohantySatyajit MondalTapaswera NathSwatish KaitheriPara AthleticsSharmilaDevender KumarRakeshbhai BhattDilip GavitShubham JuyalShilpa ShylaSoman RanaBasilRakesh ShanmugamSagar ThyatShreyansh TrivediPara PowerliftingJaspreet KaurSuman DeviKasthuri RajamaniParamjeetAshok KumarJhandu KumarSudhirPara SwimmingRavi VeeraAli ImamSuyash JadhavSwastik PatilChaitanya KulkarniTejas NandkumarWheelchair BasketballReena GuptaRita ChanuMinakshi JadhavLakshmi RayappaPara CyclingLisha Das
