After months of rumours and speculation, Samsung's new Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup has been officially unveiled at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event, which means Galaxy Z Fold 8 pre-orders are officially open.Arguably the biggest reveal is the new Galaxy Z Fold 8, which adopts a shorter, wider, passport‑like shape with a 5.5‑inch cover screen and a 7.6‑inch main display, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra keeps the taller, classic layout with a 6.5‑inch cover screen and an 8‑inch main display.But that's not all this year: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold 8 Ultra boast Samsung's new Flex Titanium display, which adds a flexible titanium‑alloy film under the foldable OLED panel to increase durability and significantly reduce the crease on both devices.Maybe the biggest change is Samsung finally adopting silicon‑carbon batteries for both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, which raises capacity from last year’s 4,400mAh in the Z Fold 7 to 5,000mAh in the Z Fold 8 Ultra and 4,800mAh in the smaller Z Fold 8.
