KUWAIT CITY: The ‌US military said early Thursday it completed its latest ‌round ‌of strikes on ‌Iran ‌at President Donald Trump’s ‌direction, marking the 12th successive night of American attacks.

“US forces struck Iranian military targets including maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense assets. The strikes further degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels,” the US Central Command said on its social media account.

American forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites on land while resuming a blockade against Iran at sea, and has redirected nine Iran-linked commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent them access to Iranian ports.

Kuwait’s army also said early Thursday it was intercepting hostile drones, following several days of Iranian strikes on the country.

“Kuwaiti air defenses are currently responding to hostile drone threats,” the army said in an overnight message on X. “Any explosions that may be heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile targets.”
