ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has invited a Chinese agro-tech firm, FAMSUN, to expand its footprint in the country by investing in advanced grain storage technology and agricultural modernisation.
The invitation was formally extended by National Food Security Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain in a high-level meeting with a delegation of FAMSUN Group, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Jack Chen.
The meeting discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation in agricultural modernisation, grain storage, technology transfer, and investment in Pakistan’s agri-food sector.
The minister highlighted the urgent need to strengthen Pakistan’s grain storage infrastructure and invited the Chinese firm to establish a modern chain of high-tech silos across the country.
