Ramp, the all-in-one corporate finance platform with $200 billion in annualized purchase volume, launched two stablecoin products on Monday.
Ramp launched stablecoins as a payment option in Ramp Bill Pay, and Ramp Stablecoin Accounts for holding, earning on, and moving digital dollars. Both run on infrastructure from Stripe, its stablecoin orchestration platform Bridge, and its wallet provider Privy.
Customers can open a Stablecoin Account to store funds and send international payments around the clock, or pay a vendor in USDC or USDT funded directly from a USD bank account, Ramp said in its product blog.
The two products split cleanly across the stack. For Bill Pay, payments are funded from an external bank account, with Bridge converting the dollars and sending funds to the recipient's wallet, Stripe said in its newsroom. That way, customers who do not own crypto never touch stablecoins.
For Stablecoin Accounts, Privy securely stores customer balances as US dollar-denominated stablecoins, per the same Stripe statement.
