The Government Railway Police arrested three youth, including a former college student, for indulging in a clash involving students of Pachaiyappa’s College and Nandanam Government Arts College at the Guindy Railway Station here on Tuesday. Three knives, six stones, and 10 broken bottles used in the violence were seized.According to the police, the two groups of students hurled stones, knives, and broken bottles at each other. The Mambalam Railway Police registered a case and arrested Kanagavel, 20, of Pallavaram, who discontinued his studies at Pachaiyappa’s College; Vishwa Guru, 19, of Padappai in Kancheepuram, a third-year student of Pachaiyappa’s College; and Raja, 19, of Arumbakkam, a student of Nandanam Government Arts College.The police said they would continue the investigation to identify and apprehend other college students involved in the clash.
