Actress Flo Wilson has played Claudette Anderson in Emmerdale for over three years14:22, 22 Jul 2026Popular Emmerdale actress Flo Wilson is married to a well-known actor.‌The 63-year-old star has a career on stage and screen spanning four decades, appearing in shows such as Coronation Street, In the Club and Sanditon, as well as numerous theatre productions.‌Flo is probably best known for playing Claudette Anderson in Emmerdale, after first appearing in the village back in 2023.‌ITV soap viewers will know that Claudette is the mother of vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), the widow of Victor Anderson (Eddie Osei), and the grandmother of Ethan Anderson (Emile John) and Naomi Walters (Karene Peter).She currently lives with Charles and Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) at Woodbine Cottage, and works as a receptionist at Brook Cottage Surgery.‌Over the years, Claudette has been involved in several memorable storylines, including her dramatic clashes with village residents, and faking an injury to manipulate her family into caring for her.She also faced a devastating family trauma in 2024 when her grandson, Ethan, tragically died. Ethan notably lost control of his car and crashed, leaving passenger Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) in a coma. In retaliation, Nicky's mum, Ruby (Beth Cordingly), hit Ethan with her car.After recovering from the accident, Ethan was charged with dangerous driving but collapsed on the day of his court hearing. His distraught father, Charles, later revealed that Ethan had died in hospital due to an undiagnosed brain aneurysm.‌Claudette also worked closely with serial killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) at the GP surgery last year.Away from the Dales, actress Flo shares her life with her acting husband John Smeathers.
