But who is her real-life boyfriend? And what prime time TV show did she appear on before Corrie? Here’s everything we know about Cait Fitton…Cait's BGT stintCoronation Street is not Cait’s first TV stint. She once auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent - and made it all the way to the final.‌In 2020, Cait took part in the ITV talent show with the sign-language choir Sign Along With Us. The group smashed the auditions thanks to their heartwarming rendition of This Is Me from The Greatest Showman and went on to reach the final.Sadly, they were pipped to the post by comedic pianist and singer Jon Courtenay, who went on to win. It seems Cait’s BGT loss worked out in her favour though, as two years later she bagged the role as Lauren on Corrie.Cat's past soap role‌It turns out that before landing the role as Lauren on Corrie, she previously appeared on the programme years ago. She told The Sun: “I played a guest at Steve McDonald’s wedding to Michelle and sat next to Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria.“I’ve not seen her since, but hopefully I’ll be able to tell her and see if she remembers me. The wedding reception was in The Rovers and I had a little dance with Ali King, who plays Carla Connor.”Cait added: “I was also in the school sports day with Jimmi Harkishin, who plays Dev. I loved that day because I remember Jimmi just made all the kids laugh.”‌Cat's boyfriendOff-screen, Cait is besotted with her boyfriend Ben. The soap actress first hinted at her new relationship in June 2025, revealing to followers her "boyfriend" had purchased her a Jellycat toy. Since then, Cait has been offering fans glimpses into their relationship. In March, Cait was spotted marking her and her partner Ben's first anniversary. Ben shared a snap of himself sitting across from Cait at a restaurant on his Instagram Story, writing: "Happy 1st anniversary ma love [red heart emoji]." The smitten star's post was then reshared to her own story, where she added: "Nothing but love" alongside a teary-eyed emoji and a pink heart.Come June, Cait took to social media once more to mark Ben's 24th birthday. She shared a collection of photos and videos of the couple together, including a shot outside Corrie's iconic Rovers Return. In her caption, she gushed: "Happy birthday to the man who steals my food, leaves socks everywhere, and somehow still manages to be the best thing that ever happened to me."‌She went on: "You're kind, loving, and you put up with me - that alone makes you a superhero. Thank you for being my rock, my comfort, and my favourite chaos. I hope your day is as special as you and even better than that! Love you long time."Cait’s sad lossIn November 2025, Cait took to her Instagram Story and shared a poignant tribute to her dad, who she says died several years ago. Cait uploaded a photograph of herself as a child alongside her dad and wrote to her more than 60,000 followers: "Happy heavenly birthday Dad, 8 years will have passed by this year <3 I'm sending you lots of love up there."‌Sadly, Cait was dealt another heartbreaking blow when, earlier this year, she announced that her grandad had died just days before his birthday. Posting a series of black and white photos with him on her Instagram stories, the young star penned: "Happy heavenly birthday to my best buddy.“It's been just over a week since you left us... and I'm still trying to navigate how to get through this without you. Hope you are dancing up there with gran."A few weeks later, Cait paid an emotional tribute to her grandfather after his funeral.
