Host Desi Lydic took aim at President Donald Trump’s latest tariff threat against Canada during Tuesday night’s episode of The Daily Show, joking that the two countries were “fighting again” just days after appearing to patch things up.
The White House announced on Monday that it intends to impose new 50 per cent tariffs on a wide range of Canadian goods earlier this week. On Tuesday, after a conversation with Prime Minister Mark Carney, President Donald Trump doubled down on his sentiment that Canada “need us to survive.”
