Nearly 1,000 people responded.The general feeling of the answers wasn’t a surprise: Fans are excited about the moves the franchise made this offseason after a half-decade of constant turnover. But there are still several intriguing takeaways from your answers. But first, let’s dive into general manager John Spytek, some of the moves he’s made and some that could be yet to come.Fans were justifiably emotional to see Crosby traded to the Baltimore Ravens in March. But there was also intrigue in the return: the No. 14 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and another first-rounder in 2027.A failed physical due to concerns over his surgically repaired left knee has Crosby back in Las Vegas, and both he and the team have said all is well. Yet the Raiders have already shown a willingness to ship out Crosby once — seeing them try again wouldn’t be a shock.Per responses, fans aren’t interested in a second Crosby trade. With the qualifier — a first-round pick in return — two-thirds of you said no.That price tag (one first-rounder instead of two) might have affected some responses, but the price tag for Crosby has likely lessened since the Baltimore trade fell apart. Teams could be more timid about the long-term prognosis of Crosby’s knee after the failed physical. Those that were in the market at the time, such as the Ravens and Los Angeles Rams, have since filled their edge rusher needs. And with the 2027 draft class billed as one of the best in recent memory, teams are holding their picks close.While fans saw the benefits of Crosby’s trade a few months ago, it’s clear positivity around moving him has waned, especially if the return is diminished.Takeaways from Raiders mandatory minicampSam WarrenSpytek was handed a roster devoid of much talent upon his arrival in January 2025. In just two offseasons, the general manager has stocked the Raiders with several promising young players and added several proven veterans around them. Fan grades for him were mostly positive despite a three-win season in 2025.Spytek has obviously had some missteps in his early tenure, namely the acquisition of and extension for Geno Smith. But Spytek’s admission of faults and quick action to resolve them have meant disasters avoided.Opinion on Spytek will sour if his lucrative 2026 free-agent class doesn’t produce and his 2025 draft class doesn’t improve in Year 2. But so far, fans feel he’s steering the team mostly in the right direction.Responses show overwhelming optimism about Kubiak, and it’s not hard to see why. The Raiders’ new head coach is six months removed from coordinating the Seattle Seahawks’ offense to a Super Bowl victory, making him a prime candidate to turn around a Raiders offense that was among the league’s worst in 2025. He also showed belief in the Raiders organization by choosing them for his first head-coaching job despite the franchise’s recent dysfunction.
