The Jigawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the sudden and unnatural death of a 60-year-old man at a hotel in Dutse.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Shi’isu Adam, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday night.
According to the statement, the incident was reported on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at about 12:50 p.m.
“The incident occurred at a hotel in Dutse, where a 60-year-old man who checked in with a 20-year-old woman suddenly developed a medical emergency after requesting a meal,” Adam stated.
He explained that the man reportedly started gasping for air shortly after the meal was served.
