MANILA, Philippines – The fourth week of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial will begin on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to give way to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s fifth State of the Nation Address (Sona), and the Senate minority bloc’s Kontra-Sona.
Senate impeachment court presiding officer Francis “Chiz” Escudero announced on Tuesday at the end of the eighth day of Duterte’s impeachment trial.
Coinciding with the opening of the Congress’ second regular session, the SONA is scheduled on July 27, followed by the Kontra-Sona tradition on July 28.
