Apple showcases Apple Watch safety features

In a new video published on its YouTube channel, Apple highlights the story of Phil, who was left unconscious after crashing his mountain bike while riding with his kids.

In the Apple-commissioned video, Phil says he “misjudged” his takeoff, breaking his collarbone and seven ribs in the crash. The impact knocked him unconscious, but his Apple Watch automatically called emergency services and shared his location, allowing firefighters to find him and take him to the hospital, where he spent a week recovering.
