July 20 (Asia Today) -- Firefighters brought a massive fire at a Coupang logistics center in Incheon under initial control Monday night, about 61 hours after the blaze began.
The fire was the longest-burning logistics center blaze in South Korea before authorities achieved initial containment.
The fire started at about 6:54 a.m. Saturday at Coupang Logistics Center No. 32 in the Seoknam neighborhood of Incheon's Seohae district. Fire authorities said the main flames were brought under control at about 8 p.m. Monday.
Initial containment means firefighters have controlled the main body of the fire and believe it is unlikely to spread further. It does not mean the fire has been completely extinguished.
