The S&P 500 was 0.9 per cent higher near 2.30pm in New York as information tech paced gains in seven of the benchmark’s 11 industry sectors.The Nasdaq 100 was 1.9 per cent higher, led by Nebius, Sandisk, Western Digital, Teradyne and Micron Technlogy - each up at least 12 per cent.A key semiconductor index was more than 5 per cent higher.
