3M Company (NYSE:MMM) stock rose Tuesday after the industrial conglomerate reported second-quarter results that topped Wall Street estimates and raised its full-year outlook for sales, earnings and free cash flow.

Adjusted earnings came in at $2.40 per share, exceeding the analyst consensus estimate of $2.25.

Revenue increased 2.4% year over year to $6.50 billion, ahead of expectations of $6.41 billion.

Organic Growth Driven By Global Demand Organic sales increased 5.4%, supported by strong execution, new product launches and supply chain improvements.

Growth was broad-based across regions.
