The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of trying to “weaken” the movement started by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan by organising a sit-in protest outside the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the same issue. It accused the BJP and Congress of being “one unit”.Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi questioned how Mr. Gandhi was “allowed” to protest outside the PM’s residence while the CJP demonstration was being suppressed. “This is amazing! CJP and Sonam Wangchuk: One month protest at Jantar Mantar. Modi govt. refuses to talk to them. Rahul Gandhi: Allowed to protest outside PM residence. In one hour, Modi govt. starts dialogue. Wah! He wants people to join his 100 people protest,” Mr. Bharadwaj said.Mr. Gandhi was joined by other senior Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge along with other Opposition leaders, demanding Mr. Pradhan’s resignation and over police action against protesting students before they were detained by the police.
