A 39-year-old carpenter sustained severe head injuries after his scooter crashed into a trolley auto parked on the road near the Dumping Yard at Ali Café in Amberpet on Monday night.According to the Amberpet police, the victim, Varkala Raghunath, a resident of Ramanthapur, had left his home at around 8 p.m. on his scooter to meet a friend. While returning towards Ali Café, his scooter rammed into an unidentified trolley auto that had been parked on the road.Police said the victim suffered serious head injuries in the accident and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in the neurosurgery ward.Based on a complaint lodged by his wife Varkala Navaneetha, the Amberpet police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
