Vertiv claims it has helped French cloud provider NFrance cut its data center power bills by 20 percent.

The power and cooling technology firm also said that an upgrade to NFrance’s data center has eliminated the use of water for server cooling.

Based in Toulouse, NFrance has a single data center offering hosting and cloud services, which it has owned and operated since 2009. The company turned to Vertiv to modernize its cooling system.

Vertiv installed its Liebert PDX direct expansion air cooling system alongside Liebert HPA-HCR condenser, which can dissipate heat without using water.

“The system was designed around optimized equipment sizing, dual refrigeration circuits, independent condensers, and N+1 redundancy to support reliable operation under demanding conditions,” Vertiv said in a case study on the project.
