A consortium comprising AIP, MGX, and BlackRock's GIP completed a $40 billion acquisition of Aligned Data Centres.

The deal includes a $5 billion commitment to fund Aligned's continued global expansion following the completed transaction.

Aligned operates 51 campuses with more than 6.4 gigawatts of operational and planned capacity across the Americas.

MGX has rapidly expanded its AI portfolio, including investments in Anthropic, OpenAI, and Binance, alongside raising $49 billion for its AI-focused fund.
