American Beacon Partners Appoints William MacGregor as Deputy General Counsel
American Beacon Partners (“American Beacon”), an experienced provider of investment advisory services to institutional and retail markets, today announced the appointment of William (“Bill”) MacGregor as Deputy General Counsel, further strengthening the firm’s legal and regulatory leadership as it continues to support the evolving needs of investment managers and fund clients.
MacGregor brings more than two decades of experience advising investment funds, fund boards, and asset managers on legal, regulatory, and governance matters. Over the course of his career, he has worked both in private practice and in senior in-house legal roles, giving him a firsthand understanding of the challenges investment firms face in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Prior to joining American Beacon, MacGregor was a partner in the Investment Management Group at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Equitable Investment Management Group, where he oversaw legal and compliance support for multiple registered fund complexes and helped guide development, board governance, and regulatory strategy.
