Due to resumption of heavy rains in parts of Maharashtra and Belagavi district, inflow into the Krishna and its tributaries increased significantly.On Tuesday evening, discharge from Maharashtra dams crossed 59,866 cusecs. This was around 11,885 cusecs higher than that on Monday.The inflow into the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir on the Krishna at Almatti reached 46,848 cusecs. The average outflow was around 12,500 cusecs. The dam now has 79 tmcft against the full capacity of 123 tmcft of water.The Hipparagi Barrage has around 2.35 tmcft out of 6 tmcft of water. The average inflow is around 45,750 cusecs and outflow is around 44,900 cusecs.The Renuka Sagar on the Malaprabha has an inflow of around 2,231 cusecs and outflow is around 194 cusecs. The dam has around 25 tmcft against 37 tmcft of water.The Raja Lakhamagouda dam on the Ghataprabha has around 21 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 51 tmcft of water.
