“Sunny Dancer,” the British indie feature that charmed audiences in the Berlinale earlier this year, has sold globally, including for North America.

The sophomore feature of rising director George Jaques and a coming-of-age comedy about teenage cancer survivors, the films stars Bella Ramsey (“The Last of Us”) who leads an ensemble of established and up-and-coming names. Alongside Ramsey, the cast includes Neil Patrick Harris (“A Series of Unfortunate Events,” “Gone Girl”), Jessica Gunning (“Baby Reindeer”), James Norton (“Joy,” “Bob Marley:One Love”), Ruby Stokes (“Bridgerton”), Daniel Quinn-Toye (“Cry To Heaven”), Earl Cave (“The Chronology Of Water”), Jasmin Elcock and Conrad Kahn (“County Lines”).

With sales overseen by Embankment Films, “Sunny Dancer” was picked up for North America by Quiver, which plans a theatrical release. Other deals for the film, which proved a hot ticket after it launched in the Cannes market in 2024, include Australia & New Zealand (Rialto), France (Wild Bunch), Germany (Capelight and Wild Bunch), Italy (Leone), Latin America and Spain (Sun/Diamond), Benelux (Independent), Scandinavia (Nordisk), Airlines (Cinesky), Greece (Spentzos), Portugal (NOS), CIS (Ten Letters), South Africa (FilmFinity), Israel (United King), Middle East (Front Row), Turkey (Itaz), Czech Republic and Slovakia (Forum), Hungary (Cinetel), Poland (Forum), and Former Yugoslavia (Blitz).
