Last year, BNY Investments has revised its distribution structure s across German-speaking Europe. The DACH distribution is now managed out of Zurich, with Martin Rees playing a central role in the new structure in his expanded role as Regional Head of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Rees has served as Country Head for Switzerland since January 2021 and has since also assumed responsibility for Liechtenstein and Austria.
«This operational expansion makes perfect sense, and the first few months have been satisfactory. We are making progress to enhance our connectivity across key European markets with both existing and new clients,» Rees said.
With the expanded regional setup, the global U.S. asset manager aims to strengthen cooperation between individual markets and distribution teams while making better use of synergies. Rees, who has been with BNY Investments for around a decade, also continues to oversee wholesale distribution in Switzerland.
Long-standing experience in Swiss Asset Management
Before joining BNY Investments in 2016, Rees was responsible for wholesale distribution at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Zurich. He began his career at UBS Warburg and UBS Global Asset Management.
