Six-year-old Desney Struis was murdered.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for the murder of a six-year-old girl, whose body was found after she went missing from Visgat farm near Witzenberg, Ceres.
The boy, who is a minor and cannot be identified, was arrested by police last week and made an appearance in court on July 16.
Police confirmed that the teen was arrested and charged with the murder of little Desney Struis, who went missing earlier this month. Sadly, following a community search, Desney’s body was found dumped. It is alleged that the little girl was also sexually assaulted.
Cops confirmed that the case docket had been transferred to the Ceres Family Violence and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) for further investigation, but they could not provide more insight into the matter due to its sensitive nature.
