Nduka featured for Arsenal's under-21 side in Premier League 2. David Price/Arsenal FC via Getty ImagesJuly 21, 2026 Updated 6:10 am EDTManchester City have reached an agreement to sign Mishel Nduka after the midfield prospect turned down a new deal with Arsenal.The 16-year-old England youth international is expected to undergo a medical imminently before joining City on scholarship terms.A professional contract will follow as City continue their drive to recruit and develop some of the game’s most promising young players.Arsenal had offered Nduka a highly competitive long-term contract.Nduka moved to Arsenal from Charlton Athletic in 2025. He played for Arsenal’s Under-18s during the 2025-26 campaign and also featured for the club’s under-21 side in Premier League 2.Nduka’s anticipated arrival comes after City completed the signing of 17-year-old Jeremy Monga from Leicester City this month. The deal was worth £12.5m in total, comprising £10million plus £2.5m in potential contingencies, with Arsenal withdrawing their own interest, believing the valuation was too high.The Athletic reported in July that England youth international Heaven Kilwa was also expected to join City after rejecting a scholarship at Aston Villa.
