The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Clement Anthony, in connection with the alleged murder of a community leader and recovered a locally made single-barrel firearm allegedly used in the attack.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement made available on Tuesday in Bauchi.
According to the statement, the incident was reported at the ‘A’ Division Township Police Station on July 19, 2026, by a 47-year-old resident of Unguwar Ngas in Bauchi Local Government Area.
