The syndicate was found guilty of trafficking at least 34 infants for illegal adoption, with some babies sold to families in Singapore. Lie Siu Luan, identified as the network's leader, was sentenced to seven years in prison, while other members received varying sentences for their roles as brokers, caregivers, and document forgers. Prosecutors alleged that at least 20 babies were intended for adoption in Singapore, with 12 believed to have already entered the country.
