Apple has sent legal letters to approximately 40 of its former staff now working at OpenAI, ordering them to retain information that could be used in its lawsuit earlier this month alleging theft of trade secrets, the Financial Times reported.
The letters reportedly also demand that the people meet with Apple’s lawyers.
Legal preservation letters are designed to prevent the deletion of information that could be relevant to claims in a lawsuit, and they usually specify what should be preserved.
