Advanced Biomed Inc (NASDAQ:ADVB), the Taiwan-based biotechnology company focused on early cancer detection technologies, shares surged on Monday, climbing 76.94% to close at $8.90, while extending gains 25.84% in after-hours trading to $11.20. The rally followed the company’s decision to withdraw its previously filed Form S-1 registration statement, eliminating the planned securities offering.
S-1 Withdrawal Removes Potential Dilution
According to a filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, Advanced Biomed requested the withdrawal of its Registration Statement on Form S-1 under Rule 477.
The company said it had decided not to proceed with the registered offering “at this time” and confirmed that no securities were sold or will be sold under the registration statement.
The withdrawal removes the prospect of an immediate equity offering, a development that investors often view favorably because it avoids potential shareholder dilution.
