The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has upgraded its weather warning for Mumbai as the city continues to receive moderate rainfall for the second consecutive day following the revival of monsoon activity. The weather agency has forecast intense showers from Tuesday, July 21, and issued an orange alert for Mumbai and neighbouring districts Thane and Raigad until Wednesday morning.The IMD said rain is likely to remain disruptive in Mumbai, Thane and Raigad through Wednesday morning under the orange alert. While the alert level is expected to be downgraded to yellow thereafter, heavy showers are likely to continue across the three districts until Saturday.BMC issues high tide warning:According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the next high tide in Mumbai is expected at 4:53 pm on July 21, with a height of 3.64 metres, followed by a low tide at 11:17 pm measuring 1.49 metres. On July 22, the city will witness another high tide at 5:57 am with a height of 3.27 metres, while the subsequent low tide is expected at 11:44 am, reaching 2.53 metres.
