Football icon Kevin Keegan, one of England's greatest players and managers, has died at the age of 75 following a battle with stage four cancer, prompting an outpouring of tributes from former teammates, clubs, football authorities and fans across the world.
Keegan's family confirmed his death in a statement on Sunday, months after announcing in January that the former England captain and manager had been diagnosed with advanced cancer and was preparing to undergo treatment.
"It is with immense sadness that we announce that Kevin Keegan has passed away at the age of 75," the family said.
"The former England player and manager had been battling cancer and was surrounded by his wife and daughters in his final moments.
