Insider Brief
The Bloch Quantum Tech Hub has secured nearly $55 million in combined public and private funding, including a $30 million U.S. Economic Development Administration grant, to establish a domestic quantum manufacturing supply chain across Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
The initiative will fund projects to help quantum companies scale manufacturing, integrate regional manufacturers into the quantum supply chain, strengthen technology security, and develop new supplier facilities at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park.
The award builds on broader U.S. efforts to expand domestic quantum manufacturing and reduce reliance on imported components, with federal and state leaders positioning the Midwest’s manufacturing base and research ecosystem as a foundation for future quantum production and job growth.
